I want to dive into a topic that might seem a bit unexpected at first glance: self-love and manifesting. You might be wondering, “What do these two have in common?” Well, let me assure you, they’re more intertwined than you might think.
I’m in the process of reading Roxi Nafousi’s book, Manifest, and it’s been an enlightening journey so far. In just the first few chapters, something stood out to me – her inclusion of a section on self-love. Roxi mentioned that she deliberated on where to place this part in her book, but she knew deep down that it had to be there.
She shares some profound insights, like the quote: “you can only manifest what you truly believe you are worthy of attracting into your life.” Another gem she offers is, “without self-love, you cannot manifest.” These words really spoke to me because they highlight a fundamental truth: our ability to manifest our desires is deeply tied to our relationship with ourselves.
Now, if you’ve been following along with my social media channels or perhaps even read my book Just for today…I will love myself, you’ll know that I’m a huge advocate for this practice.
Self-love isn’t just some fluffy concept reserved for yoga retreats and inspirational Instagram quotes – it’s a game-changer in every aspect of our lives, including manifesting our dreams.
I have put the groundwork on self-love into my life over the past couple of years and it has changed my life exponentially!
So, what exactly is manifesting?
At its core, manifesting is about bringing your desires and intentions into reality through the power of your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. It’s about co-creating with the universe and aligning yourself with the energy of what you want to attract into your life.
Think of it like this – imagine you’re planting seeds in a garden. The seeds represent your thoughts and desires, and the garden is the fertile ground of the universe. When you plant positive, intentional thoughts, you’re sowing the seeds of your dreams. And with the right care and attention, those seeds will sprout and blossom into beautiful manifestations.
But here’s the thing – manifesting isn’t just about wishful thinking or sitting back and waiting for things to magically appear. It’s an active process that requires intention, belief, and inspired action.
One of my favourite quotes about manifesting comes from the renowned author and spiritual teacher, Deepak Chopra. He said, “Whatever you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it.” This quote beautifully encapsulates the essence of manifesting – it’s all about directing your focus and energy towards what you want to create more of in your life.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that manifesting isn’t always easy. It requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to surrender control to the universe. But trust me when I say that the rewards are well worth the effort.
So, how does self-love relate to the manifesting process?
Self-love is the foundation upon which the entire process of manifesting rests. When we truly love and accept ourselves, we send out a powerful message to the universe that we are deserving of all the good things life has to offer. It’s like flipping a switch from scarcity mode to abundance mode.
Think about it – if you don’t believe you’re worthy of love, success, or happiness, how can you expect to attract those things into your life? Your subconscious mind operates on the beliefs you hold about yourself, and if those beliefs are rooted in self-doubt and unworthiness, guess what you’ll continue to manifest? Yep, more of the same.
But when you cultivate a deep sense of self-love, something magical happens. You start to believe in your inherent worthiness. You recognise that you are enough, just as you are, and that you deserve all the blessings that come your way. And when you operate from this place of self-assurance, your manifesting powers skyrocket.
Now, I’m not saying that self-love alone is enough to manifest your wildest dreams. It’s just one piece of the puzzle. But it’s a crucial piece – like the cornerstone of a building, without which the entire structure would crumble.
So, how can you incorporate more self-love into your manifesting practice?
Here are a few tips to get you started:
1. Practice daily affirmations: Affirmations are powerful tools for reprogramming your subconscious mind. Start each day by affirming your worthiness and declaring your intentions to the universe. Without being a pushy sales person!!…this is the whole point of my book Just for today…I will love myself. It’s aim is to be a constant reminder to love yourself.
2. Treat yourself with kindness and compassion: Be gentle with yourself, especially when things don’t go as planned. Remember that self-love is about embracing your imperfections and treating yourself with the same kindness you would offer a dear friend.
3. Set boundaries: Learn to say no to things that drain your energy and compromise your well-being. Boundaries are essential for protecting your precious energy and preserving your self-worth.
4. Practice gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for all the blessings in your life, big and small. Gratitude opens the door to more abundance and attracts positive energy into your life.
Remember, you are worthy of all the love, joy, and abundance the universe has to offer. Embrace your worthiness, cultivate self-love, and watch as your dreams unfold before your very eyes. The power is within you – now go forth and manifest your heart’s desires!
With love and light,
Maria
